Hey there! I’m Muni, 39 years young and born and raised in the magical chaos that is Mexico City. These days, I’m living in San Miguel de Allende, where the sunsets are dramatic and my salsa is even more so. I like to say my kitchen is where the fiesta never ends—unless we run out of avocados.

My love affair with food started when I accidentally set the toaster on fire trying to make molletes. Spoiler alert: you can’t toast bread and nap at the same time. But hey, every kitchen disaster makes a great story, right? After a few charred beginnings, I found my rhythm between my mom’s pressure cooker and my own experiments with chili-infused chocolate.

I never went to fancy culinary school, but I did spend years shadowing every tia, abuela, and street taco wizard I could find. They taught me the real secrets: how to eyeball measurements like a boss and when to dance while stirring.

Now I teach casual cooking classes for women who want to spice things up—literally. We laugh, we cook, we occasionally cry over too much onion, and we always eat. My philosophy? If it tastes good, you’re doing it right. If it tastes amazing, write it down because you’ll probably forget how you made it.

When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m probably bargaining for mangoes at the market or chasing my cat off the countertop. Life’s too short for bland food or boring stories. So come hang out in my kitchen—just watch out for flying tortillas!
