Welcome to Muni Recipes

Hello! I'm Muni, a thirty-four-year-old chef from Sweden who fell in love with cooking at sixteen while working in a small Gothenburg café. What started as a part-time job became my life's passion, leading me from Michelin-starred kitchens in Copenhagen to street food stalls across Southeast Asia.

Growing up surrounded by Nordic traditions—gathering cloudberries with my grandmother, making pepparkakor on winter evenings—I developed a deep appreciation for seasonal, local ingredients. But I've always been curious about flavors beyond Sweden's borders. You'll find miso paste next to juniper berries in my kitchen, and my rye sourdough often gets an unexpected twist of cardamom.

My cooking philosophy is simple: food should nourish both body and soul while bringing people together. Whether I'm teaching busy parents efficient meal prep techniques, showing beginners how to transform simple ingredients into exciting dishes, or helping experienced cooks explore Nordic-Asian fusion, I believe every meal is an opportunity for joy and connection.

I've had my share of kitchen disasters—like the Christmas lamb I nearly set on fire while experimenting with birch bark smoking—but these failures taught me that cooking is a conversation with ingredients, not a battle. These days, I split my time between my studio kitchen developing recipes and a small farm outside Malmö, staying true to sustainable, farm-to-table practices.

My goal is to make cooking feel accessible and meaningful for everyone, sharing not just recipes but the stories, nutrition wisdom, and practical tips that turn cooking from a chore into a pleasure. After all, the best meals come from the love and intention we bring to every step of the journey.
